Card Spotlight: Birthday Bears

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are all doing well! Today I want to share with you a card I made for an order for a friend. I love using this stamp set, it’s one of my absolute favorites for birthdays. Let me show you!

The stamp set I used on the front of my card is from My Favorite Things and it is from their “Beary Special Birthday” stamp set. I’m still practicing with my new Copic markers and I thought I would practice on this card. Not perfect, but I’m slowly getting better. I used as many colors as I thought I could without it clashing because I want this card to be able to be used for anyone, male or female. I then took a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp ‘Tiny Words Birthday’ stamp set and stamped it on the inside of the card using Catherine Pooler’s ‘Rockin’ Red’ dye ink. I am really enjoying using her inks on practically every project I do. If you would like me to do a review of them please let me know because I’d love to do it! As the finishing touch to the card I took my Ranger Multi Medium Matte liquid glue and attached my Simon Says Stamp ‘Stay Gold’ sequins. I really love that these sequins are like confetti and don’t have holes in the center. I heat embossed the sentiment on the outside with rainbow black glitter embossing powder from Ranger. It felt so weird, I haven’t had a chance to heat emboss in a while. I love heat embossing, it’s my favorite technique. What’s yours?

There you have your happy birthday! I hope you liked today’s card, I had a lot of fun making it. I don’t usually do one layer cards like this (well one layer kind of, it’s a front on a card base), I usually like to play with layers and different papers but I decided to keep this one a bit simpler. If you can call this simple… Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope I was able to inspire you. Let me know down below something you’ve created recently, I’d love to know! Below I will be sure to link my Instagram where I post every card I make, which includes many that I don’t share here, as well as my YouTube channel which I will start filming for again soon. Thanks for your support and, until next time, keep creating! XO Emma
