Hello, my crafty friends and welcome back! Today I wanted to spotlight the first card I’ve ever used my new Copic Markers on! I’m in the slow process of getting all of the colors because #fullsetsyndrome. Let’s get to the card!
For the bear image, I used the MFT ‘Beary Special Birthday’ stamp set. I stamped my image with Hero Arts Intense Black ink because that ink plays well with Copic Markers. For the bear I used E84, E87, and E89. For his nose I used a black Gelly Roll Glaze pen*. The gift box is colored with BG72 and BG75 and the bow is BG93 and BG96. The balloon is colored with B91, B93, and B95. I’m currently learning how to use my Copic Markers through the Copic Markers for Cardmakers class over at Online Card Classes. The ‘Happy Birthday’ stamp is from an old Sizzix birthday sentiment stamp set and the sentiment below that is from the Simon Says Stamp ‘Birthday Messages’ stamp set. I stamped the larger sentiment with Versamark* and heat embossed it with Ranger Silver Super Fine Detail embossing powder. The smaller sentiment was stamped with my favorite Versafine Onyx Black ink*. As a final touch I took the Silver Foil Fusion sequins from Studio Katia and sprinkled them liberally across my card. I glued them down with my ride or die for embellishments, my Ranger Multi Medium Matte.* This was a pretty quick card once the coloring was done but I had a lot of fun working on it and learning more about my new markers as I went along. I did practice coloring that image quite a few times before I attempted to do it on the cardstock. Which, by the way, I used the Xpress It Blending Cardstock* that is made specifically to be used with Copic markers. I got mine from Amazon.
