Card Spotlight: Birthday Balloons

Hello my crafty friends and thanks for stopping by! Today I wanted to share with you a quick card I made for a friends birthday (in June 😂). Birthday cards are some of my favorite, if not my most favorite, cards to make. I love seeing the person’s face when they open the envelope and see a card that has been made with love.

For this card I used February’s My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts. This is the first one I’ve purchased in over a year, I’m IN LOVE with this set. I took the smaller border (?) stamp that you see above and I stamped it onto some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock which I also used for the base. I stamped the image using Gina K Amalgam Ink and I colored the images in with my Prismacolor Premier colored pencils. I LOVE how colored pencils looks on kraft paper, especially Prismacolor pencils. I heat embossed “It’s your day” in fine white Ranger embossing powder. I also used some Doodlebug paper, the balloons. I popped up the image after I cut it out with my big roll of foam tape that I get from Amazon. Here is the final product:

There you have it, a balloon centered birthday card. What are your favorite cards or things to make? Thank you so much for stopping by and reading, it means a lot.
