Card Spotlight: Crystal Heart

Hello, my crafty friends and thanks for stopping by! For my card today I took inspiration from the ‘Just Us Girls’ Card Challenge for this week. It is word week and the word is ‘HEAL’ and it could be physical, mental, there are many reasons that someone would need a healing card. I have been working through my Online Card Classes. Right now I’m in the Clean and Simple 2 class and that gave me an idea to try a white space card.

I used two stamp sets for this card, Doodlebug’s ‘Pill Better’ set and Lawn Fawn’s ‘On the Mend’ set. I used the Get Well sentiment from the Pill Better set on the outside and then the speedy recovery and turtle from Lawn Fawn on the inside. Now I know that all seems a bit mundane but the front really sparkled. I cut out my own heart mask and traced it lightly to have the shape. I then took my Little Things from Lucy’s Cards jewels and started to fill in the heart. I then glued them down one by one after positioning them by using Distress Collage Medium Matte. This took me about an hour and a half, it was definitely a labor of love. The gems I used are:
– Cherry Mix
– Tangerine Mix
– Lemon Mix
– Lime Mix
– Blueberry Mix
– Grape Mix
– Clear Iridescent Mix
Here is the final product:

I am so in love with this card! I don’t do many white space cards so this is refreshing and a nice way to try something new. I hope you enjoyed today’s post. If you did I would love for you to subscribe and follow here and over on Instagram (@ cardstockqueen). Thank you so much for stopping by and for checking my little card out, it really means a lot. I post every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 11AM PST, so be sure to come back for more! Until then, keep creating! XOXO
