My Favorite Craft Goodies: Stencils

Hello my crafty friends! Today will be a bit of shorter post in this installment of “My Favorite Craft Goodies”. Today I want to share with you my favorite stencils. I love to use stencils when I’m having trouble coming with a design. Once I have a pattern down I know what I want the rest of the card to look like. I will provide links to whatever I can find. None of these links are affiliate links so I will not make anything if you purchase from said links.

First is my Altenew Weave Builder Stencil. It has taken a lot to figure out how to line up the stencil. Once you figure it out it looks great! It has become one of my favorite stencils to use when I need a quick card but want it, like always, to look really nice. The builder stencils from Altenew are some of my favorite to look at. Next is one many cardmakers know very well, the MFT Cloud Stencil. This is irreplaceable when it comes to cardmaking and making a background. This makes beautiful clouds for any outdoor background you can imagine. I like to use this when I use my MFT hot air balloon stamp set. There are two Simon Says Stamp stencils that I don’t think I could live without, the Abstract Triangle stencil and the Stained Glass 1 stencil. The abstract triangle stencil is based off of a background stamp made from a design by Kristina Werner. I like to use this with my Distress Oxide Inks. I love the Stained Glass stencil, especially when used with glitter paste. With any stencil, I will use one of three things- texture paste, glitter paste, and distress oxide ink. I find that these work best and give the best results when I use them. I don’t have many plain Distress inks so I can’t talk too much about using them. I’m trying to use them more though, so I will be sure to report back!

I hope you enjoyed today’s short post. Do you have any favorite stencils that I should check out? I would love it if you would consider subscribing/following this blog. I hope you will enjoy my next post which will also be the last in this series. Be sure to check it out! Keep creating! XO
