My Favorite Craft Goodies: Dies

Hello, my crafty friends! Today is another installment in my Favorite Craft Goodies series. We’re going to be focusing on dies today. I will link to as many things as possible to make it easier to find something if you are interested in looking at it closer or getting it. None of these links are affiliate links so I make nothing if you purchase anything from the link, I supply for your convenience.

Let’s start off with shape dies. I have a few different ones but the two you see here are my favorites because they are stitched. These are extra special because they are stitched on both sides of the cutting line. Both sets of these dies are from the company called Art Impressions. The rectangle one is their Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Steel Dies and the circle ones are their Circle Double Stitched Steel Dies. I love the look of stitched dies, it adds a little extra touch of something and I’m so glad I purchased these this past year. For how many you get and what they are, they are very reasonably priced.

This year I finally got my hands on some good word dies and I’m so happy! Above are most of the word dies I own, these are also the ones I use the most. I think my favorite one is the ‘Thinking of You’ die from Simon Says Stamp. It’s cursive and it really becomes the focal point of the card because it is so large. When I use it I use the Stick It adhesive sheets to apply adhesive instead of using liquid glue and making a mess. I also love the ‘Happy Birthday’ die from Pretty Pink Posh. Again, this one is in cursive but is a bit more delicate than the ‘Thinking of you’ die. So once again, I use Stick It adhesive because it makes things so much easier. I really love the ‘Congratulations’ die from Simon Says Stamp. It’s huge and you can only use it on a landscape oriented card unless you want to try making it go diagonal on a portrait oriented one. This one isn’t as delicate as the birthday die but because it’s so bit, I use Stick It once again. The last die I really love is the ‘Happy Anniversary’ die from Creative Expressions. This die is fairly small and comes with a shadow die to put behind word die. Since it is so small and the writing so thick, I am comfortable applying my Ranger Multi- Matte Medium to it instead of using Stick It. I’ve seen other anniversary dies but they never did anything for me but this one I really liked.

That’s it! Do you have any favorite dies? I would love some suggestions as to what I should get next. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you did, please consider subscribing to this blog it would really mean a lot! Have a great weekend and don’t forget to keep creating! XOXO
