Hello there my crafty friends! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season and if you celebrate, a Merry Christmas yesterday! For today’s Favorite Craft Goodies installment, I’m going to tell you about my favorite tools that I use for crafting. I will link to as many as I can, they are not affiliate links and I make nothing off of you clicking or buying from them. I provide the links so you don’t have to do all that searching, I do it for you! Here we go!
Let’s start basic, cutting products (mostly). I will start with the non cutting products first. The pink case you see on the far left is a Stamp Shammy Case from MakeItbyMarko on Etsy. It allows you to hold on to your wet stamp shammy but still allows it to breathe and not get moldy when sealed up. I’ll be talking about another product of hers that I love when it comes to adhesives, so keep your eyes peeled. The other non cutting product are my reverse tweezers. I believe the ones I have are EK Sucess but I can’t swear to it. These are great at holding paper or whatever you’re heat embossing on so you don’t burn your fingers. There are many brands to choose from so you just have to find one you like! Now, my favorite scissors for fussy cutting is the EK Success Cutter Bee scissors and second are my Tim Holtz Tonic Mini Snips. The mini snips are serrated but that doesn’t bother me and the Cutter Bee scissors are the sharpest scissors I’ve ever owned. They cut through the paper like butter and give nice, clean lines. The cutting mat you see there and the craft blade come as a set offered on docrafts website. The decoration on it is Gorjuss Girls and one side is inches and the other is centimeters. The last cutting product is the Fiskars wire trimmer. I use the nine inch on the most but I do have the twelve inch as well. They really make it easy to line up your cuts and make sure that they are precise.
I have two favorite favorite products and this is one of them, my Wagner heat gun! This is an older version so the design has changed but the quality hasn’t. I not only use this to heat embossing powder but I use it when I work with resin, too! This one gets really hot quickly and melts the embossing powder quickly.
My other favorite is my MISTI Precision Stamper Stamping tool. I honestly don’t know what I did without this! This makes stamping so much easier as well as double stamping if you don’t get the right impression withe the first go round! You can use this with things like the Wreath Builder stamp set or stamping multiple sheets with everything going in the same spot. A total life saver! They are a pretty penny but personally I think it’s worth it.
My last product are the new blending brushes. I’ve been using makeup brushes for the blending and they work great and I just got my first Picket Fence Life Changing Blender Brush in my last Simon Says Stamp card kit. I love how they give a gorgeous, seamless blend, and how light it starts and can really be built up. That’s one problem I have with blending sponges, they always start pretty dark and give you nowhere to go. With these, you have room to grow.
