This week’s card challenge over at the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog is a Color Challenge! The colors to use are Pink, Dark Pink, and Green. I tried to think outside the box and tried to stay away from what seemed obvious to me. I would love for you to come and join us in the challenge, we’re all supportive just let your creativity flow!
For one part of the card I made, I used a ‘Thanks’ die cut from MFT. I cut the letters from a green painting I did and then I also cut the letters from a bit of craft foam. Since nothing I use can seem to cut all the way through craft foam, I used my craft knife that came with my Gorjuss Girls cutting mat and I cut the letters out the rest of the way. I used my Multi Medium Matte glue from Ranger to attach the foam to the paper letters. But to attach the letters to my card I used my 1/8″ Scor-Tape. I felt it would give a stronger bond to the watercolor paper. Here is what my card looks like:
I know the upper left corner looks silver but it’s white, I had to mix it with a white pearl color because I was out of the rest of my white watercolor. For all of the watercoloring I used my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors because they came with a really bright pink that I could manipulate to whatever shade of pink I wanted and there were a lot of greens to choose from too.
There’s this challenges final product!! What do you think? I look forward to seeing your projects, too! Below I’ve linked my social media if you wan to check it out and give me a follow. ❤❤
